Professor David Putnam on IP and Financing for New Companies from Academic Research

 

Wednesday, 13th November, 2019, 5 – 6 PM, 116 Upson Hall (first floor lounge): BME professor David Putnam joins us to share his insights and perspective in forming university technology-based start-ups.

Dr. Putnam is an accomplished entrepreneur with over two decades of experience in commercializing university technology. During his postdoc he co-founded TransForm Pharmaceuticals, Inc., which was acquired by Johnson & Johnson. He has also founded biotechnology companies Articulate Biomedical, LLC, and Versatope Inc., awarded SBIR and NIH funding respectively. Dr. Putnam will host a Q&A session following his presentation on IP and financing for university research-based start-ups.
